DELIVERIES
6) DELIVERIES
Since our economy has changed and shifted in a direction where individuals purchase more products online, the range and number of shipments has changed drastically. From small items like clothing and coffee, to larger items like furniture and TVs, CityView receives an extremely high volume of packages per day. Despite expanding the package rooms in both towers, our capacity to store deliveries is constrained. Additionally, OSHA regulations and contract limitations with service providers on-site pose challenges for delivery larger or heavier items to residents.
a. Small packages. Packages less than 18” as their longest dimension will be temporarily stored at the front desk and should be picked up by residents within 72 hours. Residents will be notified when a package is available for pick-up.
b. Perishable items: CityView does not have the ability to store perishable items. Any deliveries, like Blue Apron or Omaha Steaks, should be picked up promptly by the resident receiving the order.
c. Bulky or malodorous items (for example, tires) cannot be delivered to the lobby.
d. Furniture and other oversized items:
- i. Furniture and appliances should be delivered directly to the unit, must be made using the loading dock and freight elevator, and should take only one trip. You must schedule in advance through Condo Control or with the Front Desk. Elevator pads will be installed prior to the delivery. These deliveries must take place between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. If the delivery company is taking the package to your unit, a copy of the Certificate of Insurance will be required before the delivery can be attempted. If the resident will take the item from the loading dock or front desk to their unit, all procedures apply with the exception of the Certificate on Insurance.
Any unit owner or resident moving large items during prohibited times or without reserving the freight elevator will be fined. This includes moving items into or out of the building or within the building. Fines begin at $1,000 and could go higher depending on circumstances.
If the delivery will take multiple trips, you must adhere to the Move-in Procedures (Section 1).
- ii. Residents expecting large packages must make arrangements with the front desk in advance of delivery to coordinate appropriate storage and how the item(s) will be brought to the unit. Please provide a tracking number, estimated delivery date, the method of delivery (UPS, FedEx, etc.) and whether or not you give permission to enter the unit to drop-off the package. You may forward your confirmation email directly to the front desks by using Cityviewconciergedesk@gmail.com for the North Tower and Cityviewiiconciergedesk@gmail.com for the South Tower. If you choose to have maintenance bring the item(s) to your unit, you will be charged a fee at the current Resident Maintenance Service (RMS) rate. Note that any package over 50 pounds must be handled by multiple people working together and may incur a higher delivery fee.
e. Leaving items at the front desk for pick-up by a 3rd party: Owners and residents may leave small items for other residents and non-residents may drop off items for residents subject to the following conditions.
- i. The items must fit into a #10 envelope. The envelope must be labelled with the name of the party picking it up and their unit number if applicable. In the upper left corner of the envelope, the party leaving the envelope must include name and unit number and phone number if a non-resident.
- ii. Do not leave any contraband, perishables, valuables or cash.
- iii. If a resident leaves another resident an envelope, front desk staff will notify the recipient by logging it into the package delivery system.
- iv. If a resident leaves an item for a non-resident or vice-versa, the two parties are required to coordinate.
- v. The front desk will only hold such items for a week, after which they will be returned to sender or disposed of.
- vi. Neither CityView/CityView II, nor its employees or agents will be responsible for lost articles, items that were not picked up or items that were disposed of.
