Resident-Suggested Tips & Tricks

Parking

  • When approaching the garage entry door, many residents have found that the sensors register their transponder and open the door much easier if you swing wide as you turn left into the entrance.
  • Residents have also found it useful to use a flip-down visor document holder such as this one to hold their transponder and just flip it down when they’re entering the garage.

Deliveries

  • Food delivery workers usually use GPS to get to the buildings. Unfortunately, 2001 Hamilton Street generally leads them to the location of the South Tower loading dock, and the residents waiting for food will get a call from a lost delivery worker. When putting in your order, specify that the entrance is on 20th Street between Hamilton and Spring Garden, and that they should go to the North Tower (straight ahead) or South Tower (on the left) to ensure that your food is delivered to the correct location.

Lobby Carts

  • Some of the lobby carts at CityView have directional wheels on both sides, while some have directional wheels on one side and fixed wheels on the other. Residents have found that, when using a cart with fixed wheels, it is much easier to steer the carts when the directional wheels are in the front.
