All Garage Parking rules are governed by Section 9 of the CityView Resident Handbook, supplemented by the Rules and Regulations in Appendix K.
Each resident who has an exclusively assigned space must supply the vehicle tag number, make and model of their vehicle(s) to the Management office. When changing vehicles, it is the resident’s responsibility to inform Management of the change. Management provides one transponder for each parking space. An additional transponder may be purchased for a second car registered to a specific parking space. The cost for an additional transponder, or a replacement for a lost transponder, is $50. There is a limit of two (2) transponders that can remain active in the door access system per parking space, and each transponder must be registered to a vehicle.
- All spots are reserved, so make sure that you don’t park in the wrong spot.
- Residents are not allowed to store anything in their parking spots either in front of or behind their vehicles, or between the wheel stop and the wall.
- No more than one vehicle, whether it is motorized or human-powered, may be parked within a parking space at any time
- Vehicles must be parked within the designated lines and wheel stops
- Pedestrians are not permitted on the ramps between floors
- Please watch the entrance doors (both pedestrian and vehicle) to ensure that nobody enters the garage that is not supposed to be there.
Owners are responsible for any infractions committed by the vehicles of their guests. Vehicles may be subject to towing by Management if they are:
- parked in fire lanes
- blocking another vehicle or access to another owner’s unit or parking space
- obstructing the flow of traffic
- parked in a parking space that has been assigned exclusively to another unit
- otherwise creates a hazardous condition.
If your vehicle is removed from the property contact George Smith Towing – 215-729-9100.
- Your vehicle will be towed to 3103 S 61st Street in Philadelphia.
- The city of Philadelphia requires that a vehicle be ticketed by Police or the PPA prior to towing.
- If the offending vehicle is removed prior to ticketing and/or towing, the equivalent expense of the ticket and the towing may be assessed against the unit owner. Currently that expense is $205.
GARAGE PARKING TIP: When approaching the garage entry door, many residents experience issues getting the sensors to register their transponder and open the door. If you swing wide to the right while turning into the entrance, the sensors are much more likely to register your transponder!
