There are several committees chartered by the CityView Condominium Association boards that help to provide services for residents. All residents are invited to volunteer to work with the committees. The official committees are listed below for your convenience. Contact information for committees is on the password-protected Contact Information page.
Individual Association Committees
These committees are chartered by each tower’s Condominium Owners Association (COA), and are only responsible to their COA. The committees are chaired by board members.
The Finance Committee of each tower reviews the finances for their association and makes recommendations to ensure the stability and functionality of each building. They also draft the budget for their association.
Each tower’s Architecture Committee‘s function has been subsumed by the board of each condominium association. Its purpose is to review any proposed architectural changes to ensure that they meet requirements.
The CityView Lights Committee is working to restore and convert to LED the Stephen Antonakos sculpture “Neons for Buttonwood” first lit in 1990. While the committee is a CityView South committee, residents of both Towers serve on the committee. You can view the PowerPoint deck from the presentation given by the committee to the Logan Square Neighborhood Association.
The CityView II Hallway Design Committee is a CityView South committee that is charged with facilitating a smooth and comprehensive Hallway Design process for the 25 residential hallways, including the elevator landings and the trash rooms. The committee will assist the Board in finding an interior designer and then work with that designer to make recommendations to the board to select an overall aesthetic for the hallways.
These committees are chartered by the joint committee of both COAs, and are responsible to both boards. The committees are not chaired by board members, and their actions are subject to approval by both boards.
The Resident Experience Committee welcomes new residents to CityView and provides services to help CityView residents more easily access services. The committee aims to facilitate a smooth and comprehensive welcoming and onboarding process for new residents at CityView and to enhance the experience of all residents at CityView. The committee works to provide guidance, support, and resources to ensure that all residents feel welcome and informed and also that they are part of a community.
The Social Committee’s purpose is to enhance the sense of community, foster neighborly relationships, and organize social events and activities for the residents of CityView and CityView II.
The Pool Committee oversees CityView’s outdoor pool, including rules, staffing, and maintenance.
