Garage Update #2

We’re two weeks into the 2024 Garage Renovations, and things are on track.  Last week we sent out the first update since our initial communication, and attached here you will find the second update.  This document includes previously announced work scheduled to start on Monday, May 13, but also continues where the first update left off, adding work the week of May 20 through the 24th.
Hard copies have been printed and will be left in the lobbies and the front desks of each tower, in the library,  the garden court and on the piano.

Gym Survey and Upcoming Events

There is a lot going on at CityView!

  • The Boards of both North and South Tower are interested in your opinions about the CityView gym. Please complete this brief survey at your earliest convenience.
  • On Saturday, May 11, the Pool will open for the 2024 season!  Please take a moment to reacquaint yourself with the pool policies.
  • Also on Saturday, May 11, CityView will host Goodwill. from 9AM – 12 Noon.  If you have items to donate, please bring them to the circle in front of the Buildings.  Unfortunately, Goodwill won’t take any furniture.
  • Got any dull knives or scissors that could use sharpening?  On Wednesday, May 22 at 10AM, you’ll be able to do that at CityView.  Knives up to 6″ long are $6, over 6″ long they are $8.  $6 for a pair of scissors regardless of size.  Put the items you need sharpened in a bag with your name, unit number and phone number and bring them to Frank, who will be set up in a parking space in the driveway to sharpen your items and alert you when they are available for pick-up.
  • Today we are excited to welcome a new maintenance technician to the team, Joel.  More on this to follow later in the week.

Garage Update #1

On April 15th, CityView’s management team announced the garage project that started this past Monday. The original document covered the scheduled work from April 29 through Saturday, May 11 and included details about parking spaces that would need to be vacated to accommodate the repairs.

This document has been sent using the mass communication system and will come from the address “communications@mc.fsresidential.com” and was sent at 3:51PM today.

If you did not receive the e-mail, please contact Theo so we can update our records in the mass communication system.

The previous document has been updated to provide advance notice of work that will take place after May 11 through May 24.  This updated document does not change any previously communicated, scheduled repairs, but does include work that has not commenced, yet, from the original document.

This update features work that will take place on all six levels of the parking deck, and details which parking spaces are impacted, and which vehicles need to be removed. Please review this document at your convenience. Hard copies will be left in the common areas for those of you who prefer not to read electronic documents.

The new CityView website is now live!

Dear members of the CityView community:

The CityView Resident Experience Committee and both boards are excited to announce that the new CityViewPhilly.org website is now live!

As we’ve previously noted, the website will serve two needs:

  1. Make information more easily available to residents.
  2. Make our condominiums easier to find when people are looking for a place to live. Forty-two percent of survey respondents said they found CityView by doing their own searches, and competing buildings in the area have their own website.

The new site includes:

  • Full-site search, including the complete CityView Resident Handbook. References in the Handbook are linked to the appropriate sections, so no searching for other sections when they’re mentioned.
  • A general information section that addresses many items residents have requested, including topics such as the difference between condominium living and other settings, background information on why policies are what they are, service elevator protocols, tips & tricks, and a general overview of the area for those new to Philadelphia.

Note: This site WILL NOT replace BuildingLink, however, it will give you access to much of the nonsecured BuildingLink information in an easier-to-access location and format.

Some resources (e.g., contact information and key fob locations) are password protected, but the password is listed on the BuildingLink homepage. (Resident testers, please note that the password has changed from the one used on the test site.) Other secured information will link directly to the library documents or functions in BuildingLink so you can easily access them.

We would like to thank and acknowledge the dozens of residents who participated in our resident testing for their efforts and insightful comments that helped us to improve the site tremendously over the last month.

If you’d like more guidance through the site and what it offers, we will be offering virtual walkthroughs of the site via Zoom (30 minutes) on Monday, May 6 at 11:00 am and 7:00pm (Zoom links are in the all-residents email sent by the office; please contact the office if you can’t find them), as well as in-person walkthroughs (1 hour) on Tuesday, May 14 at 11:00 am and 7:00pm in the Hamilton Room.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please reach out to us via the Contact Resident Help Committee link at the bottom of any page on the site.
